About Libretech
Libretech is a family business run by and based in Hounslow, West London.
I have over 30 years experience in computing, starting with working as a mainframe operator for Burrough's Machines in the 1970s.
In the years since then I have worked in electronics and computer repair, in hardware design, and as a lecturer in Computer Science specialising in computer architecture and image compression.
In the late 90s I realised the potential of free software and left teaching to work in software development; during the (first) dot-com boom as a web developer, and now as a freelance consultant.
I have most recently been engaged by the National Remodelling Team developing intranet applications in support of change management in the education system.
